Senior Software Development Engineer (Fullstack) Miejsce pracy: Kraków Technologies we use Expected React Native Next.js Go Java AWS GCP SSR Optional SEO AEO CMS Operating system macOS About the project Join us as a Senior Software Development Engineer (SDE III) on Remitlys Content Platform Team! Our mission is to build scalable, high-performance web architectures that enhance search engine discoverability, improve user experience, and support organic growth. Youll handle complex technical challenges in SEO, AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), content delivery, and web performance optimization at scale. You will report to a Kraków-based Manager. Your responsibilities Lead the design and implementation of large-scale web architectures to improve global performance and search and answer engines discoverability. Oversee complex, team-level projects end-to-end: clarifying requirements, breaking work into parallel tasks, and guiding teammates toward on-time delivery. Optimize page speed, Core Web Vitals, and other performance metrics across mobile and desktop platforms, ensuring solutions are resilient, extensible, and scalable. Configure and manage CDNs (e.g., CloudFront, Cloudflare, or others) to ensure scalability, reliability, and security for high-traffic experiences. Implement and maintain SEO/AEO features like structured data, sitemaps, canonical tags, and hreflangs, ensuring our content platform sets a high technical standard. Drive and participate in technical design reviews for Content Platform systems, making smart trade-offs that avoid unnecessary complexity and long-term risk. Collaborate across teams (engineering, marketing, and product) to deliver scalable, SEO/AEO-friendly solutions that support Remitlys broader product and growth strategy. Mentor other engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and pairing, raising the bar for code quality, observability, reliability, and use of modern tooling. Our requirements 6 years of software development experience with a focus on performance and scalability, including leading delivery of complex features or projects within a team. Experience building and optimizing large-scale web architectures that are secure, maintainable, and scalable in a production environment. Strong understanding of server-side rendering (SSR), hydration, and modern web frameworks such as React, Next.js, Remix, or SvelteKit. Solid knowledge of backend programming languages such as Java, Golang, or similar, and experience designing APIs and services that support web applications. Experience with cloud platforms and microservices, including designing, integrating, and operating distributed services in production (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure). Proficiency in performance monitoring and observability tools and in using metrics/logs to diagnose and resolve production issues. Demonstrated technical leadership by driving technical documentation, design and delivery across complex projects, making trade-offs, and mentoring engineers to improve team standards. Experience with modern software development practices, including CI/CD, code reviews, and secure coding standards. Optional Background building and operating high-scale web systems. Hands-on experience configuring and optimizing CDNs for performance and scalability in multi-region architectures. Experience with global web performance challenges and internationalization (i18n). Solid grounding in SEO/AEO, including structured data, canonicalization, and search bot optimization. Knowledge of headless CMS platforms (e.g., Contentful, Sanity, Strapi) and how to design content models and delivery APIs that support localization, experimentation, and high-quality content delivery.
