Job Overview

This role will work as Senior Software Developer in an Agile Software Development team, as a key contributor in projects across the Clear Course Business Services product suite. The role will be expected to take responsibility for delivering projects as the lead engineer on a small team within the wider engineering group. The role will also contribute to ongoing processes of continuous improvement, of both the quality and execution of the product, and our internal processes.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

1. Development of software, to include design, analysis, documentation, coding and testing where applicable.
2. Collaborate with other teams, such as product managers, designers, and QA engineers, to ensure alignment and integration of the software products.
3. Solve problems and fix bugs in new and existing software applications.
4. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, as well as code reviews and feedback.
5. Liaising with potential and actual clients with regard to Clear Course software products.

Desirable Attributes and Experience

1. Experience in building, testing and maintaining modern software applications.
2. Experience of technical ownership of a project or product.
3. At least 6 years of experience as a software developer, with proven expertise in one or more programming languages, such as React, .NET, C# and Typescript.
4. Relevant Degree Qualification.
5. SQL Server, Redis or similar data management experience.
6. DevOps – Gitlab CI/CD, Kubernetes, etc.
7. Observability – Sentry, New Relic, etc.
