Job Description And Responsibilities
The Product Reliability Engineering group is looking for a bright, passionate, and dedicated employee to join our Operations 2nd Level Applications team as a Staff Site Reliability Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting various Digital projects and our production transaction processing systems, which are the backbone of our business and process millions of transactions daily.
Essential Functions
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
• Experience with application support organizations working in 24/7 environments.
• Experience working with RDBMS, Non-SQL databases, MySQL DML/DDL, Oracle.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with strong oral and written communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of Active/Active setup applications.
• Experience in production support within a globally distributed team.
• Working experience with Java, J2EE, and Python technologies.
• Experience with Service Now and ticketing workflows is preferred.
• Working experience with monitoring tools like SPLUNK or other monitoring processes is advantageous.
• Prior experience with card and transaction domains is advantageous.
• Should have a technical and business mindset.
• ISO 9000 and ITIL experience is advantageous.
• Understanding of core networking concepts such as routing, protocols, subnets, DNS, certificates, load balancers, and firewalls.
• Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, application design, and implementing major components for large projects.
