Overview

Senior Settlements Specialist with Italian at UBS. This role focuses on settlement operations, client service, and risk awareness to ensure accurate and timely settlement of securities and related transactions.

Your role

You will be responsible for:

  • monitoring and processing pending items, correcting discrepancies during daily workflow
  • booking trades and releasing instructions for inbound, outbound, and internal security transfers/buys and sells
  • agreeing settlement instructions with international counterparties
  • monitoring settlement of transactions on value date
  • sending notifications to clients related to securities settlements
  • booking cash or securities to client accounts
  • launching investigations, preparing documents, providing information, and composing correspondence with stakeholders
  • identifying and resolving technical and settlement issues with reconciliation tools
  • interacting with client relationship teams and other front and middle office teams

Your team

You will be working in the Securities Settlements Team based in Wrocław, Dominikański Center. We deliver outstanding service to the Wealth Management Europe business and strive for high client satisfaction. The team consists of 14 people. We communicate in English and Polish; Italian, Ukrainian, Russian, Albanian, Hindu and more are spoken within the team, with English and Italian required. Working hours are from 7:30/8:00 am to 6:00 pm and are shift-based.

Your expertise

  • At least 4 years in finance/banking (preferably in operations)
  • Motivated, self-directed, adaptable, and able to work across teams
  • Comfortable working independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Fluent in English and Italian (spoken and written); knowledge of another language is a plus
  • Experience in the securities settlements area is advantageous
  • University degree in finance/banking is beneficial
