About the project
We are seeking a Senior Scala Engineer with 5+ years of experience to develop and sustain high-throughput distributed systems in a cloud-native environment.
Our team values accountability, teamwork, and the capability to engage in all stages of the project lifecycle.
Your responsibilities
- Design and maintain advanced distributed systems prioritizing throughput, resilience, scalability, and stability
- Write clean, testable, maintainable code while adhering to best practices
- Contribute to discussions on system architecture, technical design, and implementation strategies
- Monitor and optimize production systems with observability tools
- Ensure solutions align with performance, scalability, and reliability standards
- Collaborate with product, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver robust software
- Provide technical expertise to guide decision-making processes
- Manage priorities effectively across multiple technical initiatives
Our requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Scala programming
- Proficiency in MySQL query performance optimization
- Familiarity with both data normalization and denormalization concepts
- Solid understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA)
- Background in hosting environments on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Expertise in monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Sentry, Kibana, or Grafana
- Competency in modern software development practices and tooling
- Confidence to work independently and own deliverables
- Flexibility to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams

- Knowledge of TypeScript and PHP
- Understanding of asynchronous data projection techniques
- Qualifications in using automated deployment and monitoring tools
