We are currently looking for a Senior Scala Developer who can join a project of our client from Switzerland. Youll be a perfect candidate if youre an experienced professional to lead a team of 3 developers and to develop a key solution which supports document management and workflow in organizations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of 3 developers, fostering a collaborative and efficient development environment.
• Drive the ongoing development and improvement of the app, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Operate SaaS offerings in Google Cloud (Zurich Region) and support Kubernetes-based on-premises installations.
• Maintain and troubleshoot existing systems, pipelines (Bitbucket CI/CD), and backend services.
• Participate in solution engineering with key customers, assisting in integrations and advanced troubleshooting.
• Deliver estimates for quoting purposes and participate in the review of Tender Offers.

You fit in, if you meet these requirements

• 10+ years of coding experience on the JVM, ideally in a team lead role.
• Strong command of spoken and written English (at least B2 level).
• Experience with Scala 2 and the Akka Toolkit (classic) for backend development.
• Knowledge of ScalaJS, React, and ExtJS for frontend development.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence for development and documentation processes.

Nice to have:

• Proficiency in German.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud services.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and XSLT Stylesheets for business logic.
