We are looking for a highly experienced Senior SAP Transportation Management (TM) Developer to join a complex, enterprise-scale SAP S/4HANA program. The role requires deep technical expertise in SAP TM, strong ABAP OO skills, and proven experience delivering full-cycle implementations. You will act as a technical authority, contribute to architecture decisions, and mentor other developers while ensuring high-quality, scalable, and Clean Core–compliant solutions.

Senior SAP TM Developer

Your responsibilities

• Lead SAP TM development activities across large-scale S/4HANA implementations
• Act as Senior Developer in at least two end-to-end SAP TM full-cycle projects
• Deliver robust and scalable solutions in S/4HANA TM (Embedded or Side-by-Side)
• Design and enhance SAP TM core frameworks, including:
• BOPF (Business Object Processing Framework): expert-level development of Nodes, Actions, Determinations, and Validations
• FBI (FPM BOPF Integration): advanced UI development using Floorplan Manager (FPM) and Wire Model
• POWL & BRF+: configuration and enhancement of worklists and business rules
• Translate complex logistics processes (Air, Ocean, Intermodal) into efficient technical solutions
• Deep understanding of SAP TM data model and business objects such as Freight Units (FU), Freight Orders (FO), and Freight Bookings (FB)
• Implement custom logic for planning (VSR Optimizer) and Freight Cost Management (condition types, calculation bases)
• Develop complex logistics documents using Adobe Forms (IFbA) with dynamic layouts and multilingual support
• Design and optimize Post Processing Framework (PPF) actions for document output, EDI triggers, and alert notifications
• Design, develop, and troubleshoot complex SAP integrations
• Implement B2B interfaces using Enterprise Services (Proxies), OData services (Fiori), and IDoc/EDI
• Support cross-module integration between TM and EWM, GTS, and S/4HANA Core (SD/MM/FI)
• Perform performance tuning and optimization of ABAP code and SQL for high-volume transportation data
• Translate functional requirements into high-quality Technical Design Documents (TDDs)
• Define and own the technical architecture at object level
• Ensure all custom developments are scalable, maintainable, and compliant with SAP Clean Core principles
• Conduct code reviews and enforce development standards and best practices
• Act as Level 3 support for critical incidents using advanced debugging, trace, and performance analysis tools
• Mentor and support junior and mid-level developers
• Work effectively in an Agile delivery environment
• Use tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and SAP Solution Manager (SOLMAN)
• Ensure technical integrity and long-term stability of the SAP TM solution
• Enforce consistent use of ABAP Unit and ATC (ABAP Test Cockpit) to maintain high code quality

Our requirements

• 6–8+ years of hands-on SAP TM development experience
• Proven experience as Senior Developer in at least two full-cycle SAP TM implementations
• Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA TM (Embedded or Side-by-Side)
• Advanced ABAP OO skills
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a global, cross-functional team
