We’re looking for a Senior Ruby On Rails Engineer for a freelance engagement. The initial phase is a short-term assignment, approximately one week of work, focused on a discovery workshop and audit of the current system. This role could evolve into a long-term collaboration.
About the Discovery Workshop
This engagement will kick off with a discovery workshop aimed at auditing the current Ruby on Rails setup. The objectives of this workshop are to:
Demonstrate technical maturity and understanding of the problem
Present a clear modernization roadmap for RoR and Infra
Win the deal for the full implementation phase
The selected architect will play a key role in leading the workshop, drawing the roadmap, and ideally supporting the next-stage recruitment for implementation roles if the project proceeds.
responsibilities :
Co-lead the discovery workshop alongside internal and Blazity team members
Audit existing Ruby on Rails applications
Develop and present a comprehensive technical roadmap covering upgrading Ruby and Rails versions
Support Blazity in strategic positioning for the implementation phase
Optionally assist in recruitment or team planning for the long-term build-out phas
requirements-expected :
Proven experience as a Senior Ruby On Rails Engineer in a consulting role
Deep understanding of Rails architecture, especially in large/multi-app environments
Strong track record in:
Upgrading legacy Rails applications
Architecting scalable and maintainable systems
Defining and communicating technical roadmaps
Excellent communication skills with stakeholders and technical teams
Ability to support or advise on technical team composition and recruitment
Freelance availability for an initial 1-week engagement, with interest in possible long-term cooperation
