Your Role Accountabilities...
Lead and oversee the execution of general accounting controllership duties in selected territories for the Studios businesses:
Oversee accounting close process together with outsource providers.
Including but not limited to review of all by-title accounting and participation.
Oversee outsource provider for the timely completion and accuracy of account reconciliations to ensure balance sheet accuracy
Act as point of escalation for FP&A as well as BPO teams and troubleshoot and resolve arising issues
Ensure compliance with SOX requirements, internal control environment as applicable
Cooperate with the Studios EMEA BPO offshore team in India seeking out process improvements and standardization opportunities to gain greater efficiency and effectiveness.
Work with other members of the Controllership team to review and resolve any intercompany discrepancies within the group. Responsible for monthly intercompany settlement process.
Prepare and / or approve certain accruals or provide inputs to the SDC teams
Provide guidance to the team and support troubleshooting and problem- solving during month end close.
Support audit processes for relevant legal entities as required
Engage with key Studio EMEA controllership stakeholders, including FP&A, GBS,
COE, Studio Global Process Owners and country specific business unit teams. Ensure a robust understanding of the Studios business in core operating sectors and provide responsive consultation and information as required in key business decisions.
At least 4 years of work experience in an accounting role and a strong understanding of US GAAP and SOX requirements
Prior work experience in large international company
Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification
BS/BA in Accounting from an accredited university
CPA or Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred
Strong accounting knowledge in the area of GL
Strong technical skills including deep understanding of ERP system (SAP)
Attention to detail, accuracy and strong organizational skills
Ability to meet deadlines under pressure
Capacity to effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Good written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional team members at all levels
Embraces change driven by evolving business initiatives and maintains positivity when time-sensitive milestones shift
SAP knowledge Microsoft Office suite of applications
Communicative knowledge of English
