Join our team to deliver high-quality documentation for Hitachi Energy Mission Critical Communication systems. You will work on a cutting-edge communication solution applicable in a wide range of industries evolving in the digital age. Joining Mariusz Kaczmarek’s team, you will cooperate with experienced colleagues from Poland and Switzerland.

Responsibilities

1. Create and update product documentation and descriptions without oversight.
2. Cooperate with Product Managers, Designers, Developers, and other Technical Writers.
3. Talk to development teams and SMEs to clarify feature details and specifications.
4. Take the lead on documentation projects.
5. Share your knowledge with other team members.
6. Inspect features and learn how our software works to become a subject matter expert.
7. Generate and commit built-in help for Network Management System software.
8. Create end-user targeted documentation packages and publish them on a company portal.
9. Create and modify simple scripts for automatic GUI view capturing.

Your Background

1. Bachelors degree or higher in technical writing, English, Communications, Engineering, or a related area of study.
2. Fluent English (both written and spoken).
3. At least 6 years in a similar role with some experience of writing for technical audiences.
4. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills to prepare easy-to-read text in plain English.
5. Practical knowledge of using international style guides for writing in English is beneficial.
6. Experience in working with a docs-as-code workflow and ability to prepare simple code samples is an advantage.
7. Experience with technical writing tools (e.g., Adobe FrameMaker), content management systems, source control systems (Git), and Azure DevOps.
