Job Description:

Amazon Ring is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join a team of hands-on, passionate professionals developing innovative Ring products. This role requires deep technical expertise, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to hit the ground running.

Key Job Responsibilities:

1. Quality Assurance Engineers at Amazon test cutting-edge applications and products at the user level and code level, both manually and with automated tools.
2. QAEs are not pure black box testers; they understand software internals, debug problems using log files, and write automated tests with scripting tools and/or user-level automated tools.
3. QAEs are excellent individual contributors capable of taking tasks from start to completion with minimal help.
4. QAEs are responsible for understanding the product domain, defining test strategy and test plans, developing and driving test case execution, and driving best practices to release high-quality software to our customers.
5. You will work with Software Development Engineers to understand features and technical implementation.
6. You will also collaborate with groups such as Product Management and Science Engineering to understand customer usage models and develop test plans and suites that approximate real-world environments and regression tests, driving the software development process toward quality-centric methodologies.
7. You will develop automated tests to help speed up testing cycles and release faster to our customers.
8. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering manual/automated solutions to test customer-facing features.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

1. BS in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience.
2. QA experience within the industry.
3. Experience in automation testing using Python.
4. Excellent knowledge of testing methodologies.
5. Experience in writing test documentation.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Experience with DB and SQL.
2. Experience with API testing (Postman).
3. Experience in UNIX/Linux.
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
5. Understanding of Cloud services.
6. Experience in AWS.
