Senior QA Engineer – Poland

Position Overview: Join our growing Poland team as a Senior QA Engineer. The role involves, implementation and delivery of high‑quality software and platform solutions for enterprise clients. You will be embedded within engineering teams, working closely with engineers and clients to drive quality standards and provide advice and execution support on all aspects of quality and testing.

Technical Responsibilities

• Define and implement test cases: act as a hands‑on expert, help define test cases, guide others, structure test suites, build them into chosen tooling, consult and guide clients.
• Translate business needs into testable outcomes: ensure business requirements are actionable and testable, collaborate with stakeholders to define UAT scope and success criteria, support test planning, defect triage from a business perspective.
• Co‑manage the test architecture: take accountability for the configuration of tooling needed to deliver testing capabilities (test execution, test data creation/deletion, workflow integration, reporting, etc.). Work closely with engineering & QA Lead to deliver required test architecture.
• Partner with engineering: collaborate side by side with Simple Machines and client engineering teams to deliver high‑quality software and platforms. Work closely with tech & QA Leads and engineers at all levels.
• Embed quality into the product lifecycle: act as an ambassador for quality assurance throughout the product lifecycle. Support requirements and design processes with a test viewpoint; monitor and refine issue‑management and triage processes with clients.
• Contribute and advise about test strategy and approach: help define, implement and continually evolve effective test strategies for the platforms and software built for clients.
• Exploratory and automated testing: ensure comprehensive coverage across functional, regression, and performance testing. Skilled in designing and executing test cases manually, as well as leveraging automation tools to improve testing efficiency.

Ideal Skills and Experience

• Functional test tools: proficient with a range of test tools for management and automation across the full stack; experience with Playwright, Cypress, Cucumber (Kotlin/Java).
• API testing: proficient with tools such as Postman, Swagger (OpenAPI), Rest Assured.
• Testing methodologies: experience with BDD and understanding of benefits/drawbacks; experience using test case management (Xray, TestRail, or Zephyr) is an advantage.
• Testing for CI/CD: experience with software following CI/CD principles, embedding testing for robust continuous delivery.
• Enterprise software experience: work in QA roles within enterprise environments with broad application architecture.
• Technology: knowledge and experience with Java, Kotlin, Groovy, Scala, React, Redux (at least 2).

Professional Experience and Qualifications

Domain Experience: At least 5 years of professional experience in technical or analytical roles.
