Company Overview
We’re the world’s leading sports technology company, at the intersection between sports, media, and betting. More than 1,700 sports federations, media outlets, betting operators, and consumer platforms across 120 countries rely on our know-how and technology to boost their business.
A technology‑first software development company with high emphasis on achieving technical excellence and building services on best practice cloud principles. We build our own product and believe in “you build it, you own it”, so we give our squads autonomy to choose the right solutions.
We are NASDAQ‑listed and one of the fastest‑growing sports‑tech companies on the planet. Our vision is built on long‑term relationships with all our partners including NBA, UEFA, ATP, MLB, NHL and many more. The Live Data Services team is the heart of our live data ecosystem, gathering all the events for more than 30 sports and providing them to our clients.
You will be a key creator for the platform that drives the industry’s largest sports data coverage. Our system empowers a global network of data journalists ("scouts") to collect live statistics from stadiums worldwide.
Job Description
We are looking for a Product‑Minded Senior QA Engineer who looks beyond just “testing code” and takes ownership of the entire quality lifecycle. You will work side‑by‑side with Product Managers to refine requirements before development starts ("Shift Left") and build smart automation using modern tools (AI, Copilot) to ensure our platform is fast, reliable, and easy for our scouts to use.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirement ownership: collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to turn business ideas into clear, testable user stories, ensuring the team knows exactly what to build to avoid logic gaps later.
- Shift Left: get involved in the design phase, challenge assumptions and identify risks early, preventing bugs before a single line of code is written.
- Smart automation (creator mindset): build tools, bots, and scripts that improve developer efficiency; use AI to speed up test creation and data analysis.
- Testing execution: balance deep exploratory testing with robust automated checks (Playwright/Cypress) for critical workflows.
- Release quality: act as the gatekeeper for quality, validating new features meet technical standards and user needs.
Our Toolkit
- Automation: expert in modern UI frameworks such as Playwright or Cypress.
- API & Data: strong experience with API testing (Postman, REST Assured) and SQL.
- Modern tech: experience using AI tools (LLMs) to assist with coding and testing.
- CI/CD: comfortable integrating tests into pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
About You
- 4+ years of experience leading quality strategy in complex product teams.
- Product mindset: care about the user experience and business logic, not just passing test cases.
- Proactive: don’t wait for detailed instructions; ask questions and define the path forward.
- Clear communicator: can explain technical risks simply to non‑technical team members.
Our Offer
- The opportunity to work and develop within an inspiring and fast‑growing company.
- Flat organization with high degree of individual responsibility.
- A collaborative environment with colleagues worldwide (Engineering offices in Europe, Asia and the US).
- Very good social and physical working environment.
- A company culture that promotes social aspects, sports, physical exercise, and fun.
- Competitive salary and benefits.
- Hybrid work model.
Recruitment Process
- Initial screening: brief conversation with our Talent Acquisition Partner to review your background, experience, and expectations.
- Product interview: 60‑minute interview to discuss your understanding of user needs, business goals, and real‑world product impact beyond just finding bugs.
- Technical interview: in‑depth discussion covering QA fundamentals, test design and strategy, automation concepts, and problem‑solving approaches, with scenario‑based questions and hands‑on exercises.
- Cultural fit interview (30 min): conversation with Senior Management to assess your ability to work in a matrix organization and collaborate with stakeholders.
We keep it simple and aim to wrap up the process within 3 weeks.
