Overview
The Senior Software Development Engineer in Test Automation combines design, development, testing and quality assurance skills. You will design, build and configure test automation infrastructure, produce and assess programming code, and lead peer reviews to enhance the end‑user experience. The role focuses on modern testing frameworks, software development best practices, and maintaining reliable, performant, scalable products.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and reusable automation tests.
- Create, enhance, and execute automated tests for functional, regression, performance, and load testing.
- Monitor and maintain automated testing.
- Ensure that coding standards and best practices are being met.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues with the automated tests.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
- Improve existing testing automation or design more efficient testing.
- Ensure automation coverage for new and existing features.
- Collaborate with software developers, QA engineers, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and define testing strategies.
- Act as a subject‑matter expert in application functionality.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor other Test Automation Engineers.
Qualifications
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science or a related engineering field, or equivalent work experience.
- Certifications: ISTQB or similar certification.
- Experience: 5+ years in a Development/SQA role.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with web service testing and related tools.
- Experience with Selenium‑like automation frameworks and testing of web applications.
- Experience with QA processes and methodologies (automated and manual test processes, black/white box testing, load and performance testing, test case design, scripting and execution, automated test tools).
- Experience with functional testing of multi‑tier web applications.
- Experience with bug tracking systems, test design and execution.
- Knowledge of programming languages (Java, JavaScript).
- Proficiency in SQL, XML, and JSON.
