What will you do?

At Volvo Group Digital & IT you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large. You will: 

• Be a Python Backend Developer in the SPIS team
• Be a driver for planning, developing, and implementing back-end solutions
• Work with designers and software engineers to develop modern & intuitive applications
• Be a mentor for other developers

Your future team

SPIS (Service and Parts Information Solutions) is a small portfolio of aftermarket web solutions with over 140,000 users worldwide that supports the Service & Repair and Spare Parts Sale processes with distribution of Service, Standard Time, Tools, and Parts information.

The IT delivery manages requests coming mostly from Volvo Trucks that include development of new functionalities and enhancement of existing ones in the area of Services and Parts.

We are ~40 people organized in 4 SCRUM teams, and we work with the SAFe framework (Scaled Agile Framework) which aims to scale up agile methodologies to other levels of the organization, including business stakeholders.

Requirements:

Do you dream big? We do too, and we are excited to grow together. In this role, you will bring: 

• ≥ 5 years of hands-on experience in software development 
• Experience working with:
• Python (Asynchronous) - Knowledge of API Design
• Synchronous Integration (f.e. REST) and Asynchronous Integration (f.e. AMQP)
• DevOps tools (Git, JIRA, etc.)
• containers (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI/CD)

It would be nice, if you are familiar with:

• Java
• Linux environment
• Podman (Dockerfile), Kubernetes, cronjob expressions
