Join the Media Technology team as a Python Software Engineer to design and develop the software used internationally for Television Audience Measurement in TV and Radio markets. As part of our modernization initiative, we are implementing new features into our product. The environment is mainly based on AWS cloud solutions. Python is the language of choice for the development of features and tools for everyday use. Pandas and Spark are the technologies used for data transformation.

Key tasks and responsibilities

1. Consult with stakeholders to determine the scope of software development projects.
2. Design, develop, test, and document new software features as per business requirements.
3. Contribute to the process of migration of the current solutions to the AWS cloud.
4. Investigate application incidents for missing or incorrect functionality.
5. Perform code reviews.
6. Supervise the software development team.
7. Demonstrate patience and use effective explanations when mentoring junior software developers.

Required competencies

1. Strong knowledge of Python.
2. Experience with Pandas and Spark.
3. Basic Linux administration skills.
4. At least intermediate level of English, both written and verbal.
5. Five years of working experience in a field related to a similar position.
6. Good communication skills.

Nice to have competencies

1. Experience in AWS cloud application development.
2. Scrum Agile development experience.
3. Experience in writing Airflow DAGs.
4. Experience in writing GitLab CI/CD pipelines.

Technology stack: Airflow, AWS, Bash, CI/CD, Confluence, Docker, GitLab, Jira, Kubernetes, Linux, Pandas, Python.
