Project Description:
To support scientists in creating digital representation of their lab work, AutoLab Action blocks deliver ready-made building blocks that modularize commonly used actions that scientific workflow developers can simply dragn drop into their workflows.
Autolab Platform:
A platform that enables true digital workflows by documenting and visualizing the lab progress and automates the data flow between instruments, IT systems and raw data storage. G-Site
Platform Components (Informatics owned)
Dashboard UI: The AutoLab Dashboard will be responsible for providing the features and infrastructure necessary to run the digital workflows while providing standardized development interfaces for development of new workflows.
IoT-Hub incl. Device Connectors: IoT-Hub acts as the main integration layer between the workflow engine (Camunda) and device connectors on host PCs. The connectors will create working copies of device files and upload it to our MinIO instance. Connectors can also be used to execute defined actions ("triggers") if a certain event happens in the device PC, such as the creation of a particular file or a signal is received from a tool/system
Requirements:
Nice to have :
Life science e.g. basic knowledge of chemistry, biology, BioTech or pharmaceutical industry.
Business Process Model Notation (BPMN) tools e.g.: Camunda, Activiti
Data Movement tools e.g.: Airflow, Apache NiFi
CI/CD tools experience, basic: DevOps and Kubernetes as well
Experience with message queues
