• We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Python Developer with a strong background in software engineering best practices to deliver high-value software products and applications. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with experience in the energy trading sector, capable of collaborating effectively in a global team environment.

• Translate functional requirements into technical concepts for implementation.
• Estimate, design, and develop software solutions, including code, tests, and documentation.
• Develop solutions in accordance with enterprise technology principles and standards.
• Deliver scalable Python applications using an event-driven microservices architecture.
• Manage databases and optimize performance, particularly with SQL Server.
• Contribute to the definition and maintenance of development standards and best practices.
• Manage complex integration scenarios across the ETRM landscape.
• Develop and maintain solution patterns for software development.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust back-end systems in Python.
• Utilize Azure, GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, caching techniques, and SQL databases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (analysts, business stakeholders) to deliver innovative solutions.
• Optimize application performance and scalability.
• Implement security best practices in software development.
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning.

• 8+ years of Python development experience.
• Experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
• Experience working in agile teams with lean thinking.
• Experience blending data engineering with core software engineering.
• Proficient in profiling and optimizing Python code.
• Experience with FastAPI and async processing.
• Familiarity with Github Actions.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of executable documentation concepts.
• Experience supporting trading applications.
• Excellent English language skills (written and verbal)
