• The Embedded Competency Center is an organizational unit of Sii, that brings together over 500 specialists. Currently, we are looking for a Senior Python Developer, a skilled professional with a strong track record in software engineering best practices, dedicated to delivering software products and applications that create significant business value. This individual will embody a continuous improvement mindset, focusing on optimizing processes and applications based on value-driven principles, to join our team.

• Translating and aligning functional requirements with technical concepts to ensure clarity and effective implementation
• Estimating solution design and detailed technical design, including application deliverables such as code, tests, and documentation
• Providing solutions following enterprise technology principles, methods, standards, and practices
• Delivering business-critical applications in Python with scalable architecture design and applications using an event-driven microservices architecture
• Managing databases, addressing performance issues, particularly with SQL Server and complex integration scenarios and interfaces across the ETRM landscape
• Contributing to the definition and maintenance of standards, methods, and tools, incorporating best practices from market implementations
• Developing and maintaining solution patterns and best practices for software development
• Designing and maintaining robust back-end systems in Python
• Leveraging Azure, GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, Cache techniques, and SQL databases for efficient application development
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including analysts and business stakeholders, to deliver innovative and aligned solutions
• Optimizing application performance and scalability using performance monitoring and tuning tools
• Implementing security best practices in software development, ensuring compliance with relevant frameworks and standards
• Fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning, staying updated with industry trends and technologies

• 10 years of relevant software development experience with Python
• Extensive delivery experience of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and writing testable code
• Proven knowledge working in agile teams, demonstrating the application of agile principles with lean thinking
• Understanding of blending data engineering with core software engineering
• Desirable experience with other programming languages (C++, .NET) and frameworks
• Acquaintance with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Proficient in profiling and optimizing Python code
• Awareness of executable documentation concepts
• Experience in providing support for trading applications with FastAPI and async processing
• Residing in Poland required
