As a Senior Project Manager , you will be working for our client, a global financial institution undergoing a large-scale transformation within its Risk & Compliance function. You will be responsible for managing high-complexity projects from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and regulatory requirements. Your role will involve collaborating with stakeholders across regions, optimizing project plans, and mitigating risks while delivering system, people, and process changes. You will drive the implementation of change initiatives, ensuring adherence to best practices and governance frameworks, and fostering a high-performing project team to achieve business outcomes.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Planning and defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables
  • Managing project budgets, tracking financial performance, and ensuring cost control
  • Identifying and mitigating project risks, issues, and dependencies
  • Collaborating with senior stakeholders to align project goals with business strategy
  • Driving benefits realization by ensuring project outcomes meet business needs
  • Leading and motivating cross-functional teams to deliver projects at pace
  • Ensuring compliance with change management methodologies and governance frameworks
  • Overseeing stakeholder communication and reporting project progress
  • Managing resource allocation and ensuring optimal team performance
  • Conducting post-implementation reviews and driving continuous improvement

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • Extensive experience managing large-scale, complex projects in a financial services environment
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall
  • Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across multiple regions
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and business case development
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to navigate project challenges
  • Experience in regulatory and compliance-driven project delivery
  • Strong people and team management skills, with a focus on developing talent
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining a strategic perspective
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills for stakeholder engagement
  • Experience implementing governance frameworks and risk management processes

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent
  • Agile certifications such as SAFe, Scrum Master, or Kanban
  • Experience with financial sector transformation projects
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements impacting risk and compliance functions
  • Previous experience in global transformation initiatives
