Job Description

As a leading renewable energy producer, we depend on the dedicated people who want to shape the future with us. Due to our rapid growth in Poland , we are looking for a Senior Project Developer – Solar & BESS .

Statkraft aims at a 1.5 – 2.0 GW of yearly wind and solar developments in Europe after 2025. To reach that target, we have decided to expand our business to Poland . We are targeting organic greenfield development as a starting point but expect to use co-developments and project acquisitions as well to reach critical mass. While we believe that we can add value along the full value chain of wind and solar from development to operations, we have recently often partnered with financial investors and sold projects post-construction.

As a Senior Project Developer , you will proactively develop Statkraft’s Solar and BESS development portfolio in Poland, providing EPC and development revenue. You will be directly responsible for impacting the company’s growth, profitability, and strategic direction. This position requires regular travel.

Responsibilities:

• Managing Solar & BESS portfolio and developing new projects (including M&A activities)
• Acquiring and negotiating land lease agreements and securing property rights
• Coordinating due diligence activities
• Realizing and supervising the permitting processes (Grid Connection Conditions and Grid Connection Agreement, Environmental Decision, Building Permit)
• Communicating with relevant stakeholders (public authorities, municipalities, politics, landowners, and service providers)
• Prospecting and negotiating co-development agreements and executing them
• Supervising and cooperating with the project co-developers
• Identifying and defining the portfolio route-to-market and the business model
• Identifying and negotiating with potential investors
• Defining development budget and managing costs and cash flows
• Analyzing and ensuring economic viability of projects and pipeline opportunities
• Presenting and reporting projects to the internal investment committee
• Providing and further developing an in-depth knowledge of local market legislation, regulations, support schemes, etc.

Qualifications:

• Degree in engineering, economy, business, or science
• Comprehensive experience in the energy sector
• Proven track record in BESS/Solar/Wind project management and development
• Commercial drive and motivation to build the business
• Excellent team player with very good interpersonal and communication skills
• Highest level of personal integrity
• Creativity and an innovative spirit
• Fluency in English and Polish

Ultimately, having good experience in Solar/BESS/Wind project development and a virtuous track record in delivery, contractual negotiation, and closing are vital for this role.
