PURPOSE OF THIS ROLE
The purpose of this role is to shape the direction of a product ensuring it meets customer needs, aligns with the company objectives, and achieves success in the market.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACTIVITIES
- Define the long-term vision for the product and establish a roadmap to achieve it.
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
- Use market insights to identify opportunities and challenges, and inform product decisions.
- Develop and communicate a comprehensive product roadmap that aligns with business priorities and customer needs.
- Prioritize features and enhancements based on strategic goals and market demand.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, sales, operations, finance, and customer support, to ensure a unified approach to product development and delivery.
- Clearly define and communicate product requirements to development teams, ensuring a shared understanding of objectives and expectations.
- Work closely with engineering teams to deliver high-quality products on time and within scope.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to ensure successful product launches and market adoption.
- Use data and analytics to track product performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Identify potential risks and challenges associated with the product and develop mitigation strategies.
- Proactively address issues and adapt strategies to changing market conditions.
- Perform other tasks assigned by a manager.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- A masters degree in a relevant field such as business, marketing, engineering, or computer science.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in product management.
- Deep understanding of the fintech industry (minimum 3 years of experience).
- Very good knowledge of English – minimum B2.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in an agile methodology environment.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- The ability to understand and communicate effectively with technical teams.
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts to various stakeholders, including executives, team members, and customers.
- Ability to interpret and analyze data to make informed decisions and measure product success.
- A customer-centric mindset with a deep understanding of customer needs and the ability to translate those needs into product features.
- Certifications related to product management and agile methodologies as an added value.
