Senior Procurement Specialist - Supply Chain & Operations

Join us as a Senior Procurement Specialist in Global Procurement Services (GPS) at AstraZeneca. You will manage the day‑to‑day source‑to‑contract activity in partnership with Global Category Teams, supporting global spend management and the delivery of outstanding value.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end‑to‑end source‑to‑contract process, supporting Global Category Managers and Category Leaders in achieving category targets.
- Drive global sourcing strategies and ensure compliance across the lifecycle of the source‑to‑contract process.
- Prepare and deliver each key element of sourcing and contracting, influencing best practice and standardization.
Qualifications
- University degree preferred.
- Experience in global or regional procurement, supply chain, or compliance/legal function.
- Knowledge of contract lifecycle, legal parameters, and drafting/negotiating key contractual terms.
- Strong influencing, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time‑management and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
Desirable
- Experience in a highly regulated, global organization (e.g., pharmaceutical manufacturing).
- Legal background.
- Project‑management skills for sourcing events.
- In‑depth knowledge of regional market dynamics.
- Analytical, financial, and market‑research expertise.
- Experience with SAP Ariba or other sourcing tools.
- Additional foreign language (Spanish, German, Italian, French) an asset.
