Summary:

The Senior Procurement Program Manager is part of EMEA Baxter’s Medical Products and Therapy (MPT) Procurement Organization.

The person in this role should demonstrate knowledge of purchasing and associated materials management systems, present strong regional collaboration, manage and impact global partners.

In this position, you will lead the execution of Procurement MIPs (Margin Improvement Projects) by coordinating resources from Category, ISC PMO, Engineering, R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, RA, and ensuring their proper assignment, and mitigating project timelines to achieve business goals.

What will you be doing?

  1. Coordinating the formal evaluation of MIP ideas from Physical, Chemical, Functional, Sterilization, Biochemical, and Regulatory perspectives.
  2. Leading end-to-end MIP focusing on direct materials, associated processes, and improvements.
  3. Acting as a Project Leader to coordinate suppliers, manufacturing, engineering, PDO, R&D, QA, TO, and RA to ensure projects are delivered on time and on target.
  4. Supporting buying decisions from various suppliers, driving investigation, and reviewing all material quality complaints and problems (both internal and external).
  5. Initiating projects that eliminate non-value-added activities, increasing quality, service, and cost reduction.
  6. Collaborating with the Procurement Category team to monitor commodity market trends and leverage cost reduction, quality improvement, and service improvement opportunities.
  7. Supporting leadership in the development and execution of annual saving plans.
  8. Developing skills and acquiring knowledge in project management, purchasing related to materials management systems, negotiations, and contract terms & conditions.

Who are we looking for?

Expert with a BA/MA degree and at least 5 years of proven experience in Procurement/Purchasing and Supply Chain management, ideally in the pharmaceutical or Medical Device manufacturing environment.

Fluent English speaker with great interpersonal skills (fluency in any other European language would be a huge asset).

Strong Project Manager with organizational skills having hands-on experience implementing Lean Thinking, Lean Tools, and Kaizen events to drive Lean improvements.

Great Teammate experienced in effective root cause problem solving, able to quickly gain credibility and traction with stakeholders and suppliers.

Individual with influencing, consultative and initiative capability, negotiation, conflict resolution, presentation skills, facilitation, and leadership.

Person with strong personal accountability for results and integrity, eagerness to learn and continuously improve.

Individual with principled dedication to quality, steadfast focus on rapid and disciplined action, and respect for the diverse contributions of all.
