Senior Process Engineer

Location: Poland or Iceland (You can relocate if you want - supported by the company)

Type: Full-time position (remote)


Job description:

Are you interested in contributing to the reduction of global CO2 emissions and working at the forefront of developing technical solutions within power-to-X, green chemicals, renewable chemicals, and e-fuels? 

We are looking for Senior Process Engineer who will be working in multidisciplinary engineering team, responsible for the design of green methanol production facilities, based on licensed CO2-to-methanol technology. The person will participate in various international projects, throughout all phases of the projects, from feasibility study to plant operation. 

Responsibilities and tasks:

  • Process design of green methanol plants, covering systems such as; chemical reactions, distillation, compression, water electrolysis, gas separation, gas cleaning, utilities, etc. 
  • Developing and updating heat and mass balances, process flow diagrams (PFD), process data sheets (PDS), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), Cause and effect (C&E), instrumentation process data lists, technical specifications, and functional descriptions.
  • Providing technical support for sales activities; preparing technical proposal documents, client studies, and clarifications.
  • Participate in design reviews, technical assessments, HAZOP and LOPA.
  • Participate in procurement activities, including preparation of requests for quotations, bid evaluation, contracting participation, vendor documentation review, and inspections such as factory and site acceptance tests (FAT/SAT).
  • Technical support for commissioning and start-up activities of unit operations, processes, and plants.
  • Provide support, expertise, and input to company processes such as operations, quality, R&D, and maintenance.


Requirements:

  • Master of Science in process, chemical engineering, or other relevant subjects.
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience in Chemicals, Refining, Oil&Gas, or other relevant industry.
  • Solid experience in working on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Experience in review and approval of process design deliverables.
  • Relevant experience and good knowledge of using modelling software, such as Aspentech and Unisim. Matlab is a merit. 
  • Knowledge and experience working with statutory and international standards.
  • Excellent written & verbal English skills.
