The Senior Power BI Developer is responsible for BI solution development, enabling the business to maximize the value of our data by designing and building advanced data products. This position works closely with the wider data team, as well as cross-functional stakeholders to scope, analyse and deliver on data needs.
responsibilities :
Engage with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business requirements with a focus on providing insightful and interactive Power BI dashboards and reports
Lead the design, development, and deployment of Power BI solutions to provide insights to the business using data visualization tools and techniques
Understand business requirements and design solutions to transform raw data into meaningful insights using Power BI
Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions using Power BI including visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards
Build DAX queries and functions in Power BI aligned with best practice and industry standard for optimal data model and reporting performance including hierarchical data models
Create dashboards and interactive visual reports using Power BI
Analyse data and present data through reports that aid decision-making
Take proactive action to ensure that WHS practices and policies are in place to provide a safe environment for themselves and all team members, and adhere to legislative requirements, company expectations and other safety initiatives
Follow safe work and operating procedures at all times
Ensure the work area is kept in a neat and tidy manner, free from hazards
Promptly report all OHS hazards, injuries and incidents
Understand and demonstrate behaviour in accordance with all Company policies and procedures, including Code of Conduct, Discrimination, Bullying and EEO and all applicable laws whilst ensuring continual compliance with relevant legislation relevant to the role including WHS
All other tasks as directed by Manager

Experience working in a complex enterprise data warehouse environment
Proven experience in storytelling with data
Strong stakeholder management & communication skills
Strong Business intelligence/Reporting experience
Proficient with Power BI, including DAX queries
Extensive experience with Data modelling in Power BI
Excellent SQL skills
Working knowledge of ETL & Data Modelling
