We are looking for a practical and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Customer Communities team. This is an important, hands-on role where you will truly help shape the future of our large SaaS platform.

We are currently moving from a big PHP monolith to a modern, cloud-based system on AWS.

At the start, much of your work will focus on our main PHP application — maintaining, improving, and helping to separate it into smaller parts. You will also help design and build new, independent microservices, mainly using Python.

We believe developers are responsible for quality from start to finish. You will write clean, easy-to-understand code with proper tests (from unit to end-to-end). You will work closely with product managers and frontend (React) engineers to create useful new features, review code, and help guide technical decisions.

Requirements

Must-Haves:

• Strong, senior-level experience with PHP and confidence working in a large existing codebase.
• A clear focus on quality, with experience writing tests (unit, integration, E2E).
• Solid experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Good communication skills in English and a teamwork attitude.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with Python or a strong interest in learning it.
• Some knowledge of modern frontend frameworks, especially React.
• Practical experience with AWS tools (e.g., Lambda, ECS, RDS, S3).
• Background in SaaS or distributed systems.
