Senior Performance Engineer – Responsibilities
- Design and implement performance testing strategies (load, stress, endurance, scalability).
- Develop test scripts using tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or k6.
- Monitor system metrics using Dynatrace, DataDog, Azure Monitor, or Grafana.
- Analyze test results and provide actionable insights to development and operations teams.
- Collaborate with architects and developers to optimize application performance.
- Define performance benchmarks and SLAs.
- Automate performance testing in CI/CD pipelines.
- Leverage EY.AI: work with AI‑powered solutions, EYQ virtual assistant, and other exclusive tools to enhance analyses and insights.
Qualifications
- Proficiency with performance testing tools: JMeter, LoadRunner, k6, Gatling.
- Experience with monitoring & APM: Dynatrace, Azure Monitor, DataDog, Grafana.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, GCP.
- Programming skills: Python, Java, Bash, PowerShell.
- Familiarity with HTTP/S, WebSocket, Kafka, REST, SOAP.
- Experience integrating CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions.
- Strong analytical skills – root cause analysis, profiling, tuning.
- Excellent communication – ability to present findings to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
