We are currently seeking a skilled Senior Payroll Specialist to take ownership of the end-to-end payroll process and support the organization with workforce cost analysis and budgeting. This role combines operational payroll expertise with strong analytical and financial capabilities to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all payroll and compensation-related activities. Experience in coordinating tasks or supporting team workflows is considered an asset, as this position offers potential for future development toward a supervisory role within the People Core Services team.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage cooperation with the external payroll provider, ensuring the payroll process is efficient, compliant, accurate, and delivered on time in line with internal standards and legal requirements
- Ensure that payroll operations comply with labor law, tax, and social insurance regulations
- Liaise with external institutions (Social Security Office, Tax Office, PFR, Statistical Office, PPK)
- Collaborate with the Finance and Controlling departments on personnel cost budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Monitor, verify, and analyze employee bonuses, rewards, and incentive programs
- Provide reports and insights on salary levels, payroll trends, and workforce cost metrics across the organization
- Support compensation analysis and contribute to the development of salary and benefits policies
- Lead or participate in process improvement and change management initiatives within People Core Services, ensuring continuous efficiency and compliance
- Assist in coordinating daily People Core Services workflows, promoting effective communication and task execution within the team
- Provide expertise and mentoring to junior team members
Key Competencies
- Strong knowledge of labor law, taxation, and social security regulations
- Hands‑on experience with HR and payroll systems (e.g., SAP, Teta, Workday, other)
- Advanced analytical and data management skills (Excel, pivot tables, reporting tools)
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Finance and Controlling teams
- High attention to detail, confidentiality, and accountability
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
- Fluency in English and Polish (spoken and written)
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, HR, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll or HR operations, preferably within an international environment
- Proven experience in payroll processes in accordance with Polish regulations
- Strong understanding of Polish labor law, tax, and social insurance systems
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Experience in budgeting and cost analysis related to workforce planning
- Previous experience in team coordination or people management is an asset
