Senior Payment Analyst, Hybrid, Senior Associate

Join State Street as a Senior Payment Analyst in Custody and Complex Operations. The role focuses on high‑risk payment operations, transformation across EMEA Custody Cash, and driving automation and AI capabilities.

About the Role

The Payment Analyst is the main point of contact for supporting functions, responsible for accurate processing of cash operations, analysing information, monitoring and resolving external queries. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert support over complex, time‑critical instructions.
  • Verifying timely, accurate cash instructions according to internal and external client deadlines, operating procedures and regulations.
  • Managing risk and producing end‑of‑day reports, escalating issues.
  • Participating as technical SME in new system development, testing and implementation.
  • Processing and resolving complex instruction discrepancies, market standards, and exceptions.
  • Co‑ordinating procedural changes and ensuring compliance with internal policies.
  • Identifying process automation opportunities.
  • Training, coaching and mentoring team members.
  • Prioritising workload and ensuring daily task completion.
  • Providing coverage in the absence of team members or manager.
  • Collaborating globally to ensure consistent service delivery and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in financial services or custody operations.
  • Excellent understanding of the financial services industry.
  • Knowledge of market standards such as SWIFT (ISO20022), CHAPS, FedWire.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • AI agentic expertise is a benefit.
  • Experience supervising a team is an advantage.

Compensation

Minimum salary: zł87,000 per annum. Salary may vary based on location, responsibilities and individual performance. Staff also eligible for discretionary annual performance‑based awards.
