Job Description:

To strengthen our Supply Chain Management team, we are looking for experienced candidates for the position of Senior Operational Buyer for Global Sourcing. Seize this unique opportunity to take an active part in shaping our new GBS centre and grow together with the rapidly developing organization.

Responsibilities:

  1. Purchase goods, materials, components, or services in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets, ensuring a continuous supply of required goods and materials, and communicate any supply problems which may pose a risk or impact on business operations.
  2. Requests for quotations through RFQ/RFP and other methods, risk assessment, negotiating pricing, delivery, and Terms & Conditions aligned to our standards for materials, equipment, components, and services for assigned commodities.
  3. Manage the procure to pay process from engagement through to Purchase Order issuance and ensure payment.
  4. Process Purchase Requisitions and create Purchase Orders.
  5. Proactively monitor confirmations of Purchase Orders from the suppliers.
  6. Proactively manage on-time deliveries (and associated risks) in due coordination with suppliers and internal clients/requisitioners (plants, projects).
  7. Resolve issues related to Purchase Orders and Invoices in due coordination with Accounts Payable.
  8. Provide the relevant support to Approved Supplier List in due coordination with the Commercial pillar to ensure compliance with sourcing strategies.
  9. Explore alternate sources for goods and materials.
  10. Closely collaborate with your internal customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  11. Drive cost savings and reductions as per the plant’s targets.
  12. Conduct risk analysis of selected suppliers considering material cost trends and capacity constraints.
  13. Facilitate contract change activities (including change requests, amendments, orders, renewals, and termination notices).
  14. Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and ensure good communications.
  15. Execute implementation of our supply chain strategies.
  16. Supervise, train and mentor junior supply chain professionals.
  17. Attend meetings and update others on issues or concerns, in particular when there is a risk that could prevent the organization from meeting customer demands or where there are over capacity concerns.
  18. Coordinate daily work in accordance with volume and plant’s requirements.
  19. Actively contribute to process & systems improvements identification and implementation.
  20. Act as a Subject Matter Expert for allocated plant(s) in a given country.
  21. Support and promote a culture where a high quality of work is the norm.

Requirements:

  1. BA in Supply Chain, Business or similar.
  2. Minimum 3 years of experience in global sourcing.
  3. Fluency (written and spoken) in English.
  4. Experience in corporate environment, operational areas (manufacturing, assembly, distribution), supply chain, ideally in the nuclear or highly technical areas.
  5. Highly skilled at building and maintaining effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.
  6. Proficient use of SAP or equivalent ERP system is required.
  7. Data Analytical and reporting skills with an eye for details.
  8. Ability to multitask, work under pressure and proactively identify and solve issues.
  9. Knowledge of Procurement end-to-end processes, such as P2P (Procure to Pay), Record to Report, Order to Cash, Make to Order/ Manufacture.
  10. Experience in making decisions required to deliver expected services with quality and on time.
  11. Experience in setting priorities, informing on risks and when appropriate making decisions.
  12. Excellent communication, teamwork, solution orientation, and collaboration skills.
  13. Proficient in Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, and PowerPoint is desirable.
  14. Knowledge of manufacturing, assembly or distribution of equipment and associated suppliers is desirable.
