Key Responsibilities

  • OpenShift/Kubernetes cluster daily management – administration, deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, etc.
  • Manage RHEL/Linux systems to ensure stability and security.
  • Handle system operations with full ownership including on‑call rotated support schedule and work on dedicated product adjustment.
  • Implement best practices for network, storage, and infrastructure according to the overall project requirements.

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Solving Client Challenges Effectively: Understanding clients main challenges and developing solutions that help them reach true business value by working through phases of design, development integration, implementation, migration and product support with a sense of urgency.
  • Agile Planning and Execution: Creating and executing agile plans where you are responsible for installing and provisioning assets, testing, migrating to production, and day‑two operations.
  • Technical Solution Workshops: Conducting and participating in technical solution workshops.
  • Building Effective Relationships: Developing successful relationships at all levels — from engineers to CxOs — with experience navigating challenging debate to reach healthy resolutions.
  • Self‑Motivated Problem Solver: Demonstrating a natural bias towards self‑motivation, curiosity, initiative in addition to navigating data and people to find answers and present solutions.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Strong collaboration and communication skills as you work across the client, partner, and IBM team.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Minimum 1 year of hands‑on experience in cluster administration (OpenShift/Kubernetes) in a project.
  • Solid background in Linux system administration (RHEL‑based) including network and infrastructure fundamentals (routing, DNS, storage, load balancing, etc.).
  • Monitoring & Observability (optional): Prometheus, Loki, Grafana.
  • Scripting / Automation (e.g., Bash, Ansible).

Non‑Technical / Soft Skills

  • Self‑Reliance & Ownership – takes responsibility for systems and assigned domains.
  • Willingness to Learn – open to adopting new tools, technologies, and processes.
  • Attention to Detail & Reliability – ensures quality and consistency in production environments.
  • Team Collaboration – works effectively with Dev, Ops, and Security teams.
  • Communication Skills – clear coordination within technical operations.
  • English (required).

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

  • Advanced OpenShift/Kubernetes Expertise – experience with multi‑cluster environments including performance tuning.
  • Linux System Administration and Optimization – proficiency in tasks related to kernel tuning, package management and troubleshooting of complex issues.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – familiarity with automation frameworks like Ansible, Terraform or others.
  • Cloud & Virtualization Knowledge – exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or any virtualization technologies.
  • Monitoring/Observability – hands‑on experience in alerting strategies.
  • Scripting/Automation – ability to create scripts in Bash, Python, or other languages for operational tasks.
  • Security Best Practices – understanding of container security, RBAC, and compliance standards.
  • Performance & Capacity Planning – experience in scaling clusters and optimizing utilization.
  • CI/CD Integration – knowledge of integrating OpenShift with pipelines.
  • German language (as a plus).
