Job Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer at Relativity, you will use your development expertise leading software projects to build our software platform, Relativity. You will report to the Manager of Software Engineering. We are forming a new squad that is going to create a new way to search in our product – deeply reinventing it using AI, deeply understanding what the system is being asked to search for, and coupling it with great UX.

You will lead projects on a scalable and dynamic web system that supports integration with multiple search engines, state-of-the-art AI models (think LLMs), working with vector and full-text search, implementing embedding of 100s of millions of chunks and searching through it. This is all using many of the newest, cloud-based technologies, and new systems will be built in a cloud-native way.

Job Description and Requirements

Your Role in Action

• Architect and design performant, scalable, and secure software to a high degree of quality.
• Work hand in hand with the Applied science team and product team to design new search solutions.
• Build systems in the search domain that are integrated with LLMs.
• Apply object-oriented principles, SOLID principles, and design patterns in languages such as SQL, Javascript, and C# (with nice to have Rust).
• Contribute and provide technical guidance to a software development team.
• Conduct comprehensive unit and integration testing and static analysis.
• Improve the software development process by recommending changes in procedures.
• Provide technical guidance to team members through education and coaching.
• Participate in regular on-call rotations.
• Embrace and contribute to a learning/growth culture.

Your Skills

• At least five years of experience in software development using C# and relational databases.
• Experience with Vector Search and Rust is a plus.
• Experience in working with large-scale data – at least 10s of TB.
• Understanding of cloud-native architecture patterns and distributed system architecture.
• Experience being part of an Agile software team, including mentoring.
• Experience developing scalable solutions in Azure or other cloud platforms.
• Experience in CI/CD.
• Understanding of DevOps principles.

Relativity is committed to competitive, fair, and equitable compensation practices.

This position is eligible for total compensation which includes a competitive base salary, an annual performance bonus, and long-term incentives. The expected salary range for this role is between zł181,000 and zł271,000.
