Our Client is an international organization operating in the field of modern payment technologies , active across Europe and delivering mission-critical solutions for the financial sector .

The project focuses on the maintenance, development, and optimization of database environments supporting high-availability, large-scale payment systems . We are looking for an experienced Senior MS SQL Server Administrator / Database Engineer to support the team in the areas of stability, security, and database performance .

???? WORK MODE Remote

• 2–3 business trips to Germany during the project

• Onboarding in Frankfurt or Munich

• One visit per month to the office in Katowice

????‍???? YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Administration, maintenance, and optimization of MS SQL Server environments (2012 R2–2022) , including performance tuning and capacity planning

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions such as Always On Availability Groups, Failover Clustering, Replication, and Log Shipping

• Monitoring and troubleshooting performance issues using DMVs (Dynamic Management Views), Query Store, Execution Plans, SQL Server Profiler, and Extended Events

• Creating and maintaining T-SQL scripts, stored procedures, and SQL Agent jobs to support automation and operational stability

• Implementing and enforcing database security mechanisms (encryption, access control, auditing, PCI DSS compliance)

• Cooperation with application and infrastructure teams in an international environment

???? REQUIREMENTS

✅ Must-have

• Minimum 8 years of experience with MS SQL Server (administration, query optimization, backup & recovery, HA/DR)

• Very good knowledge of SQL / T-SQL , indexing strategies, and execution plan analysis

• Experience in database security , including TDE (Transparent Data Encryption), TLS/SSL, RBAC, and auditing

• Fluent communication in Polish and English (international team environment)

• Willingness to travel occasionally to Germany

⭐ Nice-to-have

• Knowledge of PowerShell and advanced T-SQL scripting

• Experience with other database engines: Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL

• Experience with database performance monitoring tools (e.g. RedGate, DbPlus )

• Basic knowledge of Azure SQL and cloud data services ( ADF, Synapse )

• Basic German language skills
