Summary

The Senior Market Planner handles inventory at the country or cluster level. SMPs critically examine and mitigate supply exceptions at the country level and lead and drive communications between the commercial team, customer support, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Network Planners, and fulfillment teams regarding gaps between inventory and customer demand especially in import markets.

The role encompasses a high level of risk management and order leadership accountabilities. This Market Planner will be responsible for the Western Europe Pharma Portfolio.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement inventory plans for the market.
2. Analyze and report inventory variance as the accountable owner.
3. Lead commercial meetings to review pipelines and handle country fulfillment.
4. Communicate required parameter changes for cluster/country, and resolve supply issues.
5. Co-lead with Sr Demand Planners to drive consensus discussions with the Commercial team and Finance.
6. Run back-order risks, lead strategic stock build planning, and order management.
7. Monitor customer limits, rebalance product allocation, and provide country or market-level feedback.
8. Lead new product launches and product phase-outs within the market or cluster. Additionally, update JDE sourcing, build and maintain reports, confirm transfer orders, provide proposals for supply issue resolution, and complete monthly reserve proposals.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s degree preferred with a minimum of 3-5 years related experience in supply chain management.
2. Desired experience in E2E supply chain, warehousing, distribution, logistics, transportation, customer service or inventory planning is required.
3. Detailed working knowledge of effective Supply Chain performance, including Operations management.
4. Strong analytical skills and ability to judge when to deep dive – the Market Planner will be dedicated to achieve their outcomes.
5. Extensive knowledge of import/export regulations.
6. Proficient in relevant planning systems, Rapid Response knowledge would be nice to have.
7. Significant experience of prioritization and ability to adapt to change.
8. Validated customer management skills (including influencing, communication negotiating, and conflict management) and experience in a geographically diverse, matrix organization.
9. Confirmed leadership and influencing capability.
10. Basic Project management skills and lean/continuous improvement.
11. Customer-focused service attitude.
12. Proficient English is a must.
13. APICS certification is a plus.
