Overview
The Senior Manager, Global Payroll Transformation role at Fresenius Medical Care develops and executes global programs for payroll processing from input validation to employee and tax disbursement. The role partners with Operations and HR to drive optimized design and improved employee experience, and collaborates with local teams to implement the payroll strategy, with leadership in requirements gathering, testing, communication and change management.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute payroll processes and system programs in alignment with the global strategy and HR Services transformation.
- Collaborate with Data Privacy, Information Security, Procurement, Legal, and IT to ensure payroll solutions meet company standards.
- Develop payroll and time and attendance initiatives that address simplification, systemization, and standardization of processes at global, regional, and country levels.
- Drive global payroll and time and attendance transformation as part of HR Transformation to align countries to the target HR operating model.
- Develop and execute payroll and time and attendance projects for divestitures, mergers, acquisitions, and other large organizational changes.
- Collaborate with regional payroll teams to align country payroll to the global design, while continually proposing process solutions for new situations and changing business dynamics.
- Collaborate with the Global WFM Product Owner on system-related enhancements.
- Address business requests for enhancements to meet a continually changing environment.
- Drive the design, deployment, and maintenance of the selected payroll solutions across the company’s global footprint.
- Lead design sessions to optimize processes and system configurations to streamline the end-user experience and downstream impacts.
- Oversee new requests and system enhancements to drive continuous improvement.
- Communicate payroll and time and attendance reporting needs to supporting departments, including SLAs and KPIs to track process performance.
- Provide updates to the project team regarding status, risks, open items, and SLAs.
- Collaborate with IT to translate business requirements into technical solutions and prioritize future enhancements.
- Develop and maintain training materials, job aids, system updates, policies, and related documentation.
- Communicate updates, system changes, and business changes to stakeholders as needed.
- Mentor and manage a team of business analysts to achieve company objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience preferred.
- 7+ years of experience with payroll processes and/or transformation.
- Experience with executing system implementations and projects.
- Experience in a global environment across multiple countries.
- Strong analytical skills to critically evaluate information.
- Team player who can also work independently.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships across functions to drive successful outcomes.
- Focused, goal-driven, accountable, and with strong attention to detail.
