Overview

Senior Manager Employee Relations & Compliance (all genders) – Fixed Term (1 year) at Boston Consulting Group (BCG). Locations: München | Düsseldorf | Vienna | Warsaw | Budapest | Prague.

BCG is seeking a strategic leader to shape and implement the employee relations (ER), HR compliance, and risk management framework for Central Europe. This role serves as the central contact for complex and sensitive ER cases, leads investigations, advises leaders on challenging HR matters, and ensures compliance with company policies and employment law. The role also oversees key HR processes, including case management and policy development, and collaborates with HR Services, Legal, and Compliance to align practices and promote a fair, inclusive, and transparent workplace culture.

What You’ll Do

  • Shape and implement ER, HR compliance, and risk management frameworks for Central Europe.
  • Lead investigations for complex and sensitive ER cases; advise leaders on challenging HR matters; ensure compliance with policies and employment law.
  • Oversee key HR processes, including case management and policy development.
  • Collaborate with HR Services, Legal, and Compliance to mitigate risks and promote a fair, inclusive workplace culture.

You Bring (Experience and Qualifications)

  • 7–10 years of experience in HR operations, employee relations, or HR risk/compliance.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in HR, business, or related field; background in employment law or handling complex ER cases with legal implications is preferred.
  • Deep understanding of labor laws, compliance principles, and workplace risk frameworks across Central Europe.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to discuss sensitive topics with clarity, discretion, and emotional intelligence.
  • Fluency in English required; German is a strong plus.

You will collaborate with HR Services, Legal, Compliance, and other HR teams across Central Europe. You’ll advise employees, managers, and leadership, lead ER case management, resolve escalations, and drive policy and compliance alignment across the region.
