Senior/Lead Computer Vision Engineer

We’re building a connected vision intelligence layer that unifies surgical imaging, robotics, and data services across the operating room portfolio, spanning endoluminal, orthopedics, and next‑generation general‑surgery platforms. The role focuses on transforming raw surgical video and device signals into real‑time insights, collaborative telepresence, and longitudinal case intelligence before, during, and after procedures. Initial product releases include surgical video editing, publishing, and telepresence, with future rollout to select sites. Your work will directly accelerate this journey and connect robotic vision to the OR and hospital digital platform.

Job responsibilities

• Design and implement deep learning models for real‑time video analysis.
• Develop automated annotation systems that label procedures, instruments, and anatomical structures.
• Create algorithms to extract quantifiable metrics from surgical performances.
• Measure dimensions in images and support related tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, electrical/electronics engineering, or related field.
• 5‑8 years of progressive experience in software development with a focus on AI/ML techniques.
• Strong experience developing and fine‑tuning ML models, with knowledge of CNNs, U‑Net, and image segmentation.
• Hands‑on experience with Open3D, MeshLab, Blender, or Ansys.
• Experience with data cataloging, S3 data infrastructure, and SageMaker pipelines.
• Strong programming skills in Python or C++.
• Experience scripting with Shell, Batch, Bash, and Linux commands.
• Analytical skills capable of uncovering anomalies in robust software.
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with JIRA or similar bug‑tracking tools.
• Expertise in deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch and cloud AI services (e.g., AWS SageMaker, Google Cloud AI).
