Local Unit & Position Description

DNV Global Shared Services IT is a truly global internal organization within DNV delivering IT services and capabilities to the company and its customers.

We want to strengthen our GSS IT Data Centre Services/Cloud Operations capacity in Gdynia and are looking for a Senior Kubernetes and DevOps Engineer .

The candidate should have a thorough interest and understanding of all aspects related to the operation and support of Kubernetes and container technology, Azure cloud-based solutions in the DevOps model, and strong scripting & automating skills. In order to ensure the effective, stable, and secure operation of DNV’s global Azure cloud IT infrastructure with on-premise elements, the key responsibilities of the GSS IT Senior Kubernetes and DevOps Engineer are:

• Operation of Azure cloud-based services
• Developing and maintaining Kubernetes clusters
• Scripting and automating (including integrations of cloud and on-premise components)
• React to customers’ feedback and requests using both ITIL and SCRUM methodologies
• Ensure proper communication with customers
• Incidents troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Development of monitoring solution based on Azure Monitor toolset
• Cooperation with monitoring operators
• Producing design and operational documentation

Position Qualifications

To maximize your chances, you need:

• Required experience and knowledge of the following technologies:
• Kubernetes clusters and containers
• Infrastructure as Code, Scripting
• Experience welcome but not necessary initially:
• Terraform, Ansible
• Monitoring toolset:
• Prometheus and Grafana
• Networking
• Scope of work (including but not limited to):
• Kubernetes clusters as a platform for business projects:
• implementation & administration
• DevOps support for handled projects
• Fluent English in daily communication is required (both spoken and written);
• Professional business communication skills (towards customers and stakeholders)
