Senior Kong Engineer Location: Hybrid/Wrocław Contract Type: B2B Full time

We are currently seeking a Senior Kong Engineer to join the Platform Engineering team of our client. This role is ideal for someone with strong expertise in Kong Gateway , hands-on experience with Kubernetes , and familiarity with cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or Azure . You’ll play a key role in scaling and operating an API platform across hybrid cloud environments.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience with Kong Gateway , including at least 1 year with Kong Konnect in production

• Previous experience as part of a platform engineering or infrastructure team

• In-depth understanding of API management , REST APIs , and microservices architecture

• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes , particularly with managing ingress and services via Kong Gateway

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform , Helm , and GitOps workflows

• Solid understanding of authentication and authorization protocols, including OAuth2 , OpenID Connect , and JWT

• Proficient in scripting and automation (e.g., Bash , Python )

• Excellent analytical and communication skills

• Fluent in both English and Polish (minimum B2 level)
