You will join our Algo Analytics and Execution Data POD in Equities Electronic Trading. We are a software engineering team using kdb+/q time series technology to handle large volumes of financial markets data each day.

Collecting, storing, analysing, and distributing data across multiple systems with varied requirements creates many interesting challenges and gives plenty opportunities for improvements and innovation – including usage of Cloud storage and compute engines. We work very closely with our business colleagues so you will have the opportunity to work directly with our business traders and quantitative analysts. 

We are a global team with staff in Guangzhou, Pune, Krakow, London, Belfast, New York and Vancouver.

What you’ll do

• Build and maintain KDB microservice based applications across multiple locations in a Hybrid (Colo-Campus-Cloud) model across the globe. 
• Create and update automated reporting based of KDB stored data.
• Work with quant team to develop and implement new models for algo trading as well as reports based off trading activity.
• Troubleshoot issues faced by quants/traders in a real time trading environment.
• Build and maintain tools, to industrialize support of a cutting-edge in-house trading platform.

What you need to have to succeed in this role

• Proficiency in KDB and Q language for handling time series data.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence project design and scope. 
• Experience in automating the delivery pipelines and building a self-resilient platform.
• Familiarity with Qspec testing framework.
• Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform.
• In-depth understanding of Equities Business.
• Competency in using Refinitiv Market Data solutions.
• Capability of designing and developing complex micro services based on business requirements with little to no external guidance.
