Would you like to be part of one of the biggest transformations the world is undergoing in recent decades? In the financial sector, consumer expectations and behaviors are changing rapidly; in parallel, technological advances are making it possible to improve the customer experience and create new platforms and businesses that were previously unthinkable.
We are looking for a Java SpringBoot developer to join our clients Integrity Check & Pacman product team. This young and agile product team has been a pioneer in event streaming oriented solutions. They own two products at the moment, Integrity Check and Pacman.
Integrity Check is the strategic solution for streaming of traded financial instruments and accounts, providing online certified information in an easy and globally understandable way, optimizing decision making and actions for the subscribers.
Pacman is an Integrity Check subscriber that based on user-defined rules performs automations for some of the Back office manual tasks.
At Integrity Check & Pacman team they embrace Agile (SCRUM) methodology and product team mode (over project mode), so be ready not just for building a product someone else asked, but for designing, evolving, running, supporting and protecting it like if it was yours (because it is!).
The technical stack is mainly Java SpringBoot microservices, Kafka + Avro + Schema Registry for messaging, Hazelcast for distributed caching, PostgreSQL for persistence and ElasticSearch + Kibana for logging. The CI/CD pipeline is based on GIT, Maven, Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus and Urban Code.
What you will do in your work:
- Develop new components, maintain and evolve existing ones according to the team priorities and product roadmap;
- Active role on team software quality assurance, best practices and agile methodology;
- Work on definition and implementation of automated tests for a streaming & micro-services oriented architecture;
- Coaching junior team members;
- Work closely with business sponsors to ensure the solution meets the needs;
- Take responsibility for the software delivery by ensuring quality and scope expectations are met;
- Contribute and take ownership of the technical design and ensure all aspects of the system architecture are well documented;
- Work closely with partner technology teams and collaborate effectively;
- Technically refine epics and user stories with the team;
- Write documentation, prepare and perform presentations of new features, components or technology;
- Support the team and the product!
Qualifications
Required skills:
- 5+ years of experience;
- Deep understanding of Java (8 or above) and Java Spring (4 or superior) and solid understanding of OO principles;
- Experience with Kafka middleware messaging service;
- Experience designing and building service-oriented or microservice architectures;
- Diligent with automated testing JUnit/Mockito/Cucumber/etc;
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools;
- Agile methodologies (SCRUM) and Software life cycle;
- Understanding of RESTful API principles;
- Proficient spoken and written command of English.
Nice to have skills:
- Spring Cloud Bus; Spring Integration;
- Docker and Kubernetes experience;
- Experience configuring continuous integration and continuous delivery tools;
- Some experience with AWS public cloud will be much appreciated;
- Experience with ELK (ElasticSearch and Kibana) or other NoSQL databases;
- Experience with BDD and Gherkin;
- Some knowledge of Spanish.
