About the project

We are looking for an experienced Java/Kotlin Developer!

Full-time

Remote work (from Poland)

Key skills: Java, Kotlin/JVM, DDD and hexagonal architecture

Your responsibilities

• Lead the move from monolithic to modular architecture using DDD and hexagonal patterns
• Build and maintain backend services in Kotlin with Spring and Hibernate
• Shape engineering standards and influence technical decisions across teams
• Translate product requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Mentor engineers and support strong engineering practices
• Contribute to system reliability and take part in on-call rotations

Our requirements

• Senior experience building and architecting complex backend systems (Kotlin or JVM)
• Hands-on knowledge of Spring/Hibernate or similar frameworks
• Proven success modernising legacy systems or breaking down monoliths - a plus
• Ability to drive architecture decisions and set coding best practices
• Experience with complex domain logic (finance/insurance a plus)
• Strong collaboration with product teams
• Very good English - at least B2+
