We are building a Team of Engineers interested in broadening their technical and language capabilities (Japanese and English) while working with one of the world’s biggest companies building social innovations.

Requirements:

Must have:

• Written and spoken Japanese language proficiency (equivalent of at least JLPT N3 or higher, official JLPT certification is not a must)
• Written and spoken English language proficiency (the equivalent of B2 or higher)
• Proven communication and interpersonal skills (to be working with Japan and CEE-based teams)
• At least 4 years of relevant development experience in Java
• Good knowledge of Spring framework (Spring Core, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, etc.) and Hibernate ORM
• Experience with relational databases, message brokers, building RESTful APIs, Docker (or similar)
• Experience implementing CI/CD
• Unit testing (JUnit, Mockito) and integration testing

Good to have:

• Experience in TDD (test-driven-development)
• Experience in XML, UML
• Strong analytical skills
• Experience in FinTech
• Self-reliant, motivated, quick learner, organized
• Having an EU Blue Card (non-EU citizens)

Job Responsibilities:

Include but are not limited to:

• Engage in typical Agile and Software development activities: backlog refining, planning, implementation, design and code reviews, demos, and retrospectives
• Deliver AWS-based Java services through CI/CD and Infrastructure as code
• Engage in all team activities through collaboration, problem-solving, and teamwork
• Troubleshoot complex problems and define solutions to fix them duly
