Your Role:

Were seeking a passionate Java developer to create innovative applications for Fixed Income Rates and Credit trading desks. Youll deliver high-performance solutions while maintaining existing functionality.

Your Team:

Youll join our global Fixed Income Rates and Credit markets technology team. Were a fast-paced, motivated group spread across 8 cities in 6 countries (US, Europe, Asia Pacific). Our mission is to develop cutting-edge solutions for complex business problems while maintaining a sophisticated multi-faceted platform.

Responsibilities:

1. Architecting and developing scalable Java applications for complex business challenges.
2. Optimizing and refactoring existing components to improve performance and maintainability.
3. Leading UAT and demonstration sessions with key stakeholders.
4. Translating business requirements into technical specifications.
5. Collaborating with global IT teams to ensure seamless integration.
6. Supporting production rollouts and providing ongoing maintenance.

Mandatory Skills Description:

1. Requires an experienced Java developer (min. 10 years of experience) who can independently propose technical changes to the platform and implement them.
2. Strong knowledge of multi-threaded programming techniques.
3. Expertise in object-oriented design patterns and SOLID principles.
4. Experience with functional programming concepts.
5. Familiarity with messaging systems like Kafka and data serialization formats (e.g., AVRO).
6. Proven track record in Agile development environments.
7. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
8. Strong communication skills, able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
9. Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
10. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and market changes.
11. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Office minimal attendance - 3 days a week.

Nice-to-Have Skills Description:

1. Knowledge of low-latency.
2. Understanding of financial markets, particularly Rates and Credit bonds/derivatives.
3. Experience with trading platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Tradeweb).
4. Proficiency in automated testing (unit, integration, performance) and CI/CD practices.
5. Working knowledge of Python or other scripting languages.
6. Experience with Spring Framework and RESTful API design.
7. Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
