(Senior) IT Operations/Infrastructure Specialist in RCT Application Management

We are looking for an experienced IT Operations/Infrastructure Specialist to support and improve the business applications in the Risk and Compliance Area.

Meet the Risk and Compliance Application Management team. Our role is to deliver exceptional IT support for business applications in the Risk and Compliance Area.

Our technology stack includes, but is not limited to:

  • DataStage / ETL / Airflow and UC4 job scheduler

What you’ll be doing

Main responsibilities in this role:

  • Deliver technical application support for internal and external solutions
  • Work with incident, problem, change, and release management processes
  • Drive and coordinate maintenance activities such as software upgrades, license renewals, hardware lifecycle management, patching, and vulnerability processes
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation about services and environments which are in the scope of the Application Management team
  • Provide expertise on technical issues and make recommendations for technology infrastructure, software, and equipment

Who you are

This is the right role for you if you:

  • Are passionate about IT and willing to learn new technologies
  • Have a strong technical background
  • Have 3+ years of experience managing ITIL processes (including event management, incident management, problem management, request fulfillment, change management)
  • Understand the concept of continuous integration and deployment pipelines (Bamboo, Jenkins)
  • Focus on continuous improvement of services provided by the team
  • Have competency to understand architecture and IT solution design documents

Your background and skills include:

  • Practical experience working with MS SQL Databases
  • Experience in Windows Server and Red Hat Linux server administration and basic scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
  • Very good level of English both written and spoken
  • Familiar with project tools like Jira and Confluence
  • Relevant university degree (IT, Engineering, data science, mathematics, or similar)

It would be ideal if you also:

  • Experience working with DevOps model and SAFe methods
  • Practical experience with Airflow
  • Knowledge of BMC Helix or another ticketing system
