We are looking for a Senior DevOps engineer with strong technical understanding. Through this job you will have the opportunity to deliver great service, work across borders and influence stakeholders in and outside our organization in a large international IT environment.

About this opportunity

Your role as Senior DevOps engineer will primarily be to secure compliant, well-running applications and services. This is done by following Nordeas overall guidelines on many different levels. You will be working closely with the Development team from the Operations side together with internal architects, business people, and many others in your daily work. You will be using change management tools, ordering capacity changes, etc. to the environment. Our IT landscape is never constant; new regulations and requirements are our daily work. You will be working in our international team that consists of a broad range of technology support across the entire bank, together with highly skilled colleagues with different backgrounds and within our agile and hybrid work model.

What you will be doing:

  • Handling and coordinating production issues – solving incidents and problems.
  • Handling and coordinating production deployments – managing and depending on your technical skills sometimes executing change tickets.
  • Handling and coordinating ad hoc requests from various stakeholders.
  • Working closely with development teams to help support our Nordea BizDevOps ambitions with architects and hardware/infrastructure engineers within Nordea.
  • Be self-driven and not afraid to make calls within Nordea to solve problems with unknown solutions.
  • Working with skilled international teams in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Be capable of following processes and to build up your own network within Nordea to get things done in a fast and smooth way.

You’ll join a team with a strong mindset towards enabling high-quality customer and user-oriented IT services. The roles are based in our Polish office placed in Gdansk/Gdynia.

  • Have software knowledge within the system landscape as containerization, Windows, .NET, Linux, Java, Spring, Weblogic, MSSQL, Oracle, DB2.

Your experience and background:

  • Preferable education level as BSc or MSc degree within IT/Engineering.
  • Work experience with Incidents, Problems, and Changes.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification is preferred.
  • Ability to support working outside of normal business hours to provide occasional on-call support, when upgrading or testing takes place or to solve critical incidents/problems.
