We are looking for an Ansible Automation Developer for our Core Engineering unit to help innovate, develop and deploy our Automation services in collaboration with Architects, Platform Owners and Providers and other stakeholders - and most importantly; guiding development and support teams towards success.

About our team

Meet the Core Engineering team. Our role is to define and build the infrastructure that makes up Nordea’s digital business foundation. You will be joining the Automation Centre of Excellence – a team that provides Automation governance and strategy in Nordea’s Core Technology division. We deliver the Automation Framework, a concept combining several automation tools allowing easy exposure and effortless consumption of a wide range of IT services. In addition, and as a Centre of Excellence, we assist other internal units to enable them to prepare and expose services for automatic consumption.

What you’ll be doing

Main responsibilities in this role:

• Plan detailed Ansible development & automation deployment as per design and requirements: Analysis and planning of automation flows, ensuring security and compliance, and full documentation.
• Develop complex, robust, scalable and dynamic Ansible roles & playbooks using Ansible advanced features.
• Lead development and deployment of automation in Ansible Automation Platform or AWX and other automation tools.
• Managing automation services and resources using configuration as code.
• Alignment with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, Bamboo).

Who you are

This is the right role for you if you are creative, curious, have an aptitude for innovation and collaboration, and have a background working with automation tools, orchestrators, or workflow engines. You understand the logic of creating workflows to handle multiple scenarios seamlessly. You take pride in delivering technical solutions that meet the needs of tomorrow, and you build professional stakeholder relationships.

Your background and skills include:

• 5+ years of experience in IT Automation and 8+ years of overall IT experience: Profound knowledge and experience in Ansible Playbook development, structuring complex playbooks and roles with extensive use of variables, modules, loops, plugins, templates, etc. Configuration and management of resources in Ansible Automation Platform or AWX. Experience in custom module development using Python. Experience with Infrastructure as code deployments. Experience with other automation tools & technologies.
• System-to-system integration.
• Understanding and experience of: Different components of IT Infrastructure like Linux, Windows, Databases, Network. IT Service Management, DevOps, Agile methodology, and Scrum.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

It would be ideal if you also:

• Knowledge of: VMware Cloud Foundation, Automation Orchestrator, self-healing capabilities associated with Automation like Event-driven Ansible, any other infrastructure as code tool, and container technology.
• Experience working in the financial industry or another similarly regulated industry.
