Were Markets & Securities Services IT Poland, a technology department providing technology services and solutions for the Investment Bank businesses at HSBC. Systems we create enable transactions across multiple asset classes. Our teams work in partnership with the business counterparts to deliver high-throughput systems, from low latency trading applications to large Microservices platforms. We also perform architecture and cloud migrations.
The Commodities business uses hybrid technology, including Murex, inhouse risk management and pricing applications, which offer pricing, risk management, P&L calculation and trade life cycle management for Front and Middle office users.
The required business analyst belongs to IT stream and works closely with the global business and development team, providing technical support and functional analysis for the sales / trading / middle office communities.
responsibilities :
Work with the business and technology stakeholders to build and develop commodities trading applications, primarily focusing on Precious Metals and FX products.
Offer production support services to Front and Middle office users, manage incidents and problems with business impact analysis and desk facing communication.
Act the business analyst from project level, gather requirements, discuss long-term and short-term solutions with the development team, and work on the hands-on implementation for the solutions.
Facilitate user acceptance tests, provide training sessions and establish a good rapport to encourage feedback and further communication.
Participate in continuous improvement of development, test and release processes, automating manual and repetitive procedures.
Be the central contact point in Europe time zone with global users and stakeholders to develop and maintain the partnership between the business and technology stakeholders.

requirements-expected :
Strong financial products knowledge and experiences in working with front office, strong analytical skill and ability to perform risk, P&L and trade life cycle analysis.
Experience in working in agile software development style; attend and actively participate in demos, stand-ups and retrospectives.
Personable, effective communication skills with ability to build and maintain partnerships, ability to deal directly with business users and development teams daily.
Self-motivated individual, able to deliver with minimal supervision, whilst working effectively in a team.
Experiences working with global teams.
Experiences in project management.
Hands-on experiences in software development, knowledge of SQL, shell scripts or other relevant development tools is a plus.
Risk, P&L knowledge of FX, commodities or option products and working experiences in Commodities, FX and Fixed Income trading business as well as knowledge of Geneos and Control-M would be an advantage.
