Job Description



Senior Network Integration Engineer is responsible for technical implementation of IP routing projects that are executed by the Network Services Delivery Center. Is in charge of design validation testing, network acceptance testing, providing technical procedure (MOPs), configuration templates and node specific configuration, acts as subject matter expert in IP/MPLS domain in all parts of the solution - access, aggregation, core, working with NOKIA project teams to ensure successful project delivery.



How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn



Main areas of responsibility

  1. Work with Network design to build test plans and strategy, MOP’s and any kind of technical documentation as defined by project SoW,
  2. Setup LAB environment and execute validation tests, (MOP, configuration),
  3. Produce configuration templates and node specific configuration covering basic setup, routing, MPLS, security, redundancy, qos, accounting and services,
  4. Implementation/Integration/migration/SW&HW upgrade of IP/MPLS equipment (bare metal, virtual routers) and solutions as defined by SoW, design and MOPs,
  5. Troubleshoot network/SW/HW issues encountered during network activities,
  6. Work closely with IP technical support teams (TAC, R&D, Design),
  7. Support project effort estimations, scope of works,
  8. Define technical risks associated in delivery of the projects,
  9. Drive improvement initiatives, technical knowledge sharing,
  10. Liaise with product units on issues found and product roadmaps,
  11. Produce customer project related technical documentation and presentations,
  12. Attend important projects technical activities (PoC, FOA and rollout kick off),
  13. Run NSDC internal technical calls,
  14. Ensure that Nokia information security practices are followed in accordance with established policies and procedures of the organization.


Key Skills And Experience

  1. Minimum of 8 years of relevant telecom experience in IP/MPLS domain – work with SP providing mobile and enterprise services
  2. Advanced practical knowledge of IP technical solutions - IPV4, IPV6, routing and switching, mpls, segment routing, services l2 vpn, l3 vpn, qos, multicast, BNG, CGNAT, redundancy
  3. Hands-on in configuring routers/switches with Command Line Interface, Nokia, Cisco
  4. Nokia NRS2 certification or another vendor equivalent
  5. Good practical knowledge of Nokia NMS (NE integration, SW upload & upgrade, backups) alarm monitoring and interpretation
  6. Knowledge of SDH/PDH and PSTN, FTN technology as well as tools like Cramer is a plus
  7. Keymile XMC23, XMC25 architecture and services
